Abstract:

Gastric acid is responsible for Peptic ulcer. PPIs are first generation drugs. Pantoprazole (PAN) is one of the important PPI drug. PPIs play important role to suppress the Gastric acid. Stepwise formation constant and corresponding values of free energy change of complexes of Pantoprazole (PAN an important antiulcer drug, with transition metal ions [Vo(II), Cu(II), Cd(II), Mn(II), Co(II) and Zn (II)] have been determined at 26ºC and 36ºC and 0.1M (NaNO3) ionic strength. Probable structures of isolated chelates have been assigned on the basis of IR, NMR spectral data. Antibacterial activity of the complexes "In vivo" for sensitivity test has been screened.
