Abstract:
Some complexes of 1-para substituted tetrazoline-5-thione withNb(V) have been synthesized and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis, conductometric measurement, I R, U V visible spectral studies. The p-tolyl, p-methoxy and p-chloro derivatives of 1-substituted tetrazoline-5-thione co-ordinate through thione sulphur and imino nitrogen with Nb(V) ions resulting deprotonation of imino nitrogen. All complexes show octahedral configuration.
