A Simple, sensitive, accurate and rapid analytical method for simultaneous separation and determination of inorganic acions (F ,Cl ,NO ,Br ,NO ,HPO ,SO and I ,) and organic acids (acetic acid, formic acid, succinic acid, tartaric acid, malic acid, oxalic acid and fumric acid) was developed by using suppressed conductimetric ion chromatognaphy. The separation was achieved on shim-pack 1C-SA2 250 mmL 4.5 mm ID Peak with a mobile phase consisting of 0.6 mM potassium carbonate + 12 mM potassium hydrogen carbonate + 0.0125mM N – {[(ethylamino ) thioxomethyl] hydrazine carbonylmethyl} trimethyl ammonium chloride (ETHTC), a flow rate of 1 ml / min and 30ºC. Under the optimal conditions the eight inorganic anions and the seven organic acids were completely separated and detected simultaneously within 20. 367 min. The limit of detection (S/ N=3) of inorganic anions and organic acids were in the range of 0.9992 – 0.9998 μg/L and 0.9991 – 0.9998, respectively and the relative standard deviation (RSD %) of all ions found to be below 1.36%. The method was applied successfully to the analysis of Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) sample.
